Bill Allen is a journalist who does not agree with the recent General Assembly Sex Offender restrictions. You have every reason to be against of these new restrictions. All these do is to give society a false sense of security. 90 to 95% of child sexual abuse occurs by someone the child knows, parent, relative, babysitter, teacher, coach, etc. What this country needs is to look at prevention instead of restrictions. Most prisons do not even therapy sex offender treatment. This means that when you have finished your time, then they are in society and then have the sex offender treatment therapy. And while they are fighting for probation with the payment of all weeks, therapy and possible restitution to victims, are denied employment, a place to live and many other things that do nothing but download and keep them from becoming productive members of society. The federal government should intervene here. Must forcing states to provide all sexual offender treatment therapy. Prison is for rehabilitation should not just sit idly passing the day away. Indeed, one of the constraints is 1,000 feet of a church. Were you asleep the day they made an amendment to the Constitution for the right to be free religion? When it was exactly what I miss that?
