Camping Lantern Led

So I found a pile of broken turtle hatching, and took them to the river, Did I do the right thing?
Camp was and 10:30 pm I found broken hatching turtles. Seemed to be attracted to light so I made a trench in the sand and took a flashlight into the River. Some of them stopped at the edge of rivers, but most of them went right into the water. Did I do the right thing, is there any chance for them to survive. By a camping park was packed to the gills all, I thought it would have a better chance in the river rather than dragging on the beach for a couple of days.
It is a pleasure to read a question like this. You have no idea how many times I type "Please do the right thing and then lose …" So, one billion of kuddos, baby! (Claps hands and makes the cats jump and look at it curiously.) Yep, the lil Darlins are so tired after fighting outside the egg, its usually a struggle for them to rest, get going, and find water. Therefore, making the trench to guide gave them a good rest and helped his energy reserve. "You dun guuuud" as the saying goes. Put them on a beach lol occupied most likely increased the percentage of the clutch is going to survive, and also saved them from predators at night (well, at least the land). Once again, a job well done and keep up the great work.
