Tips to prevent pests in your holiday Camping
Camping can be a fun and outdoor vacations low cost for the whole family. Provides air fresh, spectacular views and an opportunity for the family bonds. There are some disadvantages to outdoor holiday however; pests can be a nuisance and even dangerous so come prepared and know what to avoid.
Wasps are a species that includes yellow jackets and bees are common in temperate climates. Nests in trees and under ledges in the late spring and early summer. Sometimes they will nest on the ground that it is particularly difficult to see and therefore more of a hazard. They are attracted by sugar, cooking meat and other human product odors such as perfume and hairspray. While not aggressive, if a nest is annoying you can do to a painful situation.
First, keep an eye out for nests that resemble cells of the honeycomb. In general, few will be a flight abroad. A small nest of new development can be brought down, the wasps fly without damage. However, if the nest is large and has many layers and then stay clear and do not bother that would lead to being bitten. Pack a can of wasp spray if you are particularly afraid or allergic to these pests.
Another common pest that can ruin your experience camp is the mosquito. Unlike wasps that sting as a defense mechanism, mosquitoes bite to feed on his blood. They are more annoying than they are harmful and only remote areas can get a disease or illness.
There are many products available to repel mosquitoes and you should bring supplies with you and will not normally available on the site. Sprays and lotions containing DEET is the repellent more effective in controlling these pests. There is also less effective all natural sprays and lotions available. Citronella candles also helps to deflect, but must be used along with topical products to ensure the least amount of contact.
Ticks are common in forested areas and it is best to avoid using long pants and long sleeved shirts, especially if you be brushing against foliage. These are more annoying than anything but the possibility exists of contracting Lyme disease.
Stay away from dark, damp, dangerous and isolated areas such as housing spiders prefer. Most People do not intentionally come into contact with all spiders, but be especially careful if you see a Black Widow, Brown Recluse Spider violinist.
Takes vacation in nature is certainly nice, but be aware of the pests that may affect your travel.
