Hiking Virginia
Good place to go camping / hiking 3 days?
My boyfriend and I want out of Spring Break to a hiking area with a lot of good options for trails, and there I'd rather be a national or state park to be away from noisy roads and such. We are in the PA, but we want to go south so somewhere in Maryland, Virginia or North Carolina would be ideal. We were planning to go to the Shenandoah park, but not all campsites are closed. Can you recommend a good campsite with good hiking nearby (It's OK if we have to drive to the trailhead, just not too far!) I would like to escape these PA forests bored with nothing but high, dead trees!
Smoky Mountains is good, but the campsites are closed at this time, I was in the northern part of the park to escape the crowds and make the trip …………
