How do I get in Colorado?

I am taking a weekend trip to Colorado on November 12. I have said it may be snowing at that time. I to be in the Denver area. I'm from the drops of Texas, where the winter in the low 50's for the most part, we see only 30 years for a few days, not it snowed here significantly since 1985. So what should I bring on this trip? I'm not skiing, maybe some light hiking, but that's all. I have some heat wicking Gore-Tex that I used for cycling, so I'll be taking these, but as to be outside in the snow, what kind of shoes or boots? Pants, jeans or are right? Thank you all for your comments.

Polypropylene, Polypropylene, Polypropylene. It will keep your skin dry of sweat or snow …. Using many layers .. better to have them, they get too hot and then take what you need. NEVER use cotton .. once it gets wet, stays wet and you will * really * cold all time. For hiking, I put a thin layer of polypropylene, then a heavyweight in the bottom topped with ski pants. The top wear Long sleave 2-3 layers of polypropylene and a warm jacket outdoor water resistant. Use goretex Hiking Boots and good socks are upholstered. Have fun!
